چکیده
We formulate the dynamics of an infinitely extended open dissipative quantum system , Σ, in Schroedinger picture. The generic model on which this is based comprises a C★-algebra, A observables, folium, ℱ states algebra and one-parameter semigroup, τ linear transformations that represents its given by natural infinite-volume limit corresponding semigroup for finite system. On basis, we establish Σ group completely positive W★-algebra dual to . This result serves extend our earlier formulation [ 1 ] conservative systems ones.

Oscillatory dynamics and non-Markovian memory in dissipative quantum systems.
The nonequilibrium dynamics of a small quantum system coupled to a dissipative environment is studied. We show that (i) the oscillatory dynamics close to a coherent-to-incoherent transition is significantly different from the one of the classical damped harmonic oscillator and that (ii) non-Markovian memory plays a prominent role in the time evolution after a quantum quench.
متن کاملQuantum control of dissipative systems
We study the effect of dissipation, i.e., uncontrollable interactions of a quantum system with the environment, on one’s ability to control the system. In particular we show that dissipation, although often considered undesirable, opens up unique possibilities for quantum control by removing the constraint of unitary evolution, which restricts the set of reachable states and imposes bounds on t...
متن کاملQuantum mechanics of dissipative systems.
Quantum dissipation involves both energy relaxation and decoherence, leading toward quantum thermal equilibrium. There are several theoretical prescriptions of quantum dissipation but none of them is simple enough to be treated exactly in real applications. As a result, formulations in different prescriptions are practically used with different approximation schemes. This review examines both t...
متن کاملVortex Dynamics in Dissipative Systems
We derive the exact equation of motion for a vortex in twoand three-dimensional nonrelativistic systems governed by the Ginzburg-Landau equation with complex coefficients. The velocity is given in terms of local gradients of the magnitude and phase of the complex field and is exact also for arbitrarily small intervortex distances. The results for vortices in a superfluid or a superconductor are...
